Murdock & White is a Seattle-based wholesale foods brokerage representing the finest regional, national and international specialty foods and accessories.

We spend time finding quality products to present to our customers. Our product selection is governed by strict guidelines regarding originality, authenticity and effective packaging.

As members of the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT), International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and Slow Food organizations, we can keep you apprised of food issues of national and international importance. We will provide you monthly updates on the latest issues, new lines and promotions.

Our sales staff provides decades of collective food knowledge, merchandising expertise, and hands-on knowledge of manufacturers and manufacturing processes. They work with gift, specialty food, specialty grocery, catalog, and grocery distribution accounts.

Our staff is available to service accounts in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

History

Charlene Murdock and Richard White met at a specialty food conference in Portland, OR in 1988, and in 1990 they formed an informal partnership to sell specialty foods in the Northwest. After a few years and the addition of three sales representatives, they established Murdock & White, the premier specialty food showroom on the West Coast, located at the Seattle Gift Center.

As their business grew, they began to develop the connection of specialty foods with farm-raised fruits and vegetables from their own one-acre mini farm. This has been expanded to bi-monthly educational menus presented in the Seattle showroom featuring one or more manufacturer's products served with fruits and vegetables from Charlene and Richard's garden, known as Nana Cardoon.
