25 Years in the Specialty Food Trade
Murdock & White celebrates 25 years in the specialty food trade and 20 years as Broker Members of the National Association of the Specialty Food Trade. As we celebrate our 25th year in the specialty food business, we are transitioning our brokerage to new owners: Madison-Lane Sales + Marketing, Inc. We will continue to work with Madison-Lane in a consulting capacity for the foreseeable future.
Over the years we have become involved in a diverse group of food-related activities: Salone del Gusto; Terra Madre, which celebrates the role of the farmer on a world-wide basis; Dairy Creek Community Food Web and Ten Rivers Food Web, which focuses on coordinating community food resources; Adelante Mujares, a local organization which enables Latino farmers and families to develop "micro enterprises"; and Nana Cardoon, our own Garden Learning Center, focusing on our local children and Permaculture students from Pacific University. As you can see, we have already greatly expanded our learning curve to involve many different aspects of the food system.
